Daisy 29-4-22 5yr GSD Pointer
Thought I’d share some good news too… today I achieved what I thought a few months ago would be almost unthinkable, I went out with daisy and the baby, daisy walked right beside me in a loose lead the entire time, we encountered two dogs that she gets triggered by, we avoided them with me obstructing her, she reacted but was swiftly corrected and she moved on as if nothing. Very peaceful and pleasurable walk, thank you! Thanks to your training I have come leaps and bounds, I know we still have work to do but I am so pleased 😀

Drawing in not working yet but will try again tomorrow and all next week, so hopefully by the time we meet I would if mastered the technique.
There has been a remarkable improvement since following your instructions thank you so much

Lead Walking
Indie 11-8-22 1yr 6m Australian Sheppard
Just had the best walk ever with indie - never thought I could control a 23 kg pulling beast with one hand 😂
Ok there were no distractions out there today but still it was a lovely controlled walk with ME in charge 😂
Hoover Reactivity, Dog Reactivity, Human Reactivity, Lead Walking
Monty 25-9-22-2yr French Bulldog
Hi Peter, thanks again for yesterday’s session. We’ve been able to hoover (mostly) in peace this morning, Monty normally attacks the hoover but he did really well today after his structured walk. He’s certainly not a fan yet of being on the lead to answer the door, we have just been practicing with each other currently, but I’m sure he will improve here as we continue to implement the changes. Thanks again
Hi Pete, just an update for you both.
Monty’s did really well this weekend.
We went on a nice long walk and he met an off lead Doberman (the dog had no recall, this would normally make me a bit nervous ) but Montt stayed calm behind me on lead and came out to sniff and returned behind me calmly, he saw and passed by lots of dogs/ people on the walk and was very calm at all points both on lead and off lead.

Archie 15-8-20 2ty 6m Cockapoo
Dear Peter and Kim .
Sorry it's taken a week to text you but I wanted to do a whole week with Archie and the structures.
As shown in the pic he's back to his old self again and a very Happy dog again. Calm and relaxed and not hiding away.
Thank you so much for all your help especially when I was feeling panicky. You both went above and beyond with us and I'm truly grateful.
Lead Walking, Recall
Jasper 13-10-22 1yr Snoodle
Hi Peter, thank you very much for today’s session. Matt and I both felt that it really helped to consolidate the information given in the online session. The summary above and report are also really helpful. I did a 35 minute walk on the new lead this evening and it went really well. Such a different experience! We’ll keep you updated and look forward to the next session on the 23rd. I’m not sure where’d I’d be without your expertise.
Human reactivity, Dog Reactivity
Arlo 2-9-22 1yr 3m Collie-Westie
Thank you so much for all your help throughout the training process Peter, so far all seems to be going well with both indoor and outdoor training! Thank you again for everything.
Really good success with xxxxxxx nephew! This is the calmest Arlo has ever been around a child! Even let him stroke him and take commands like sit paw and spin and treats from him!

Eddie did most of walk off lead. Met Liz & her dogs. Greeted her dogs then Liz 4 a stroke. Incredible. Never left my side. Valx
Thought u would like 2 know how well yr pupil is doing. We walked on path as Patrick on hols. We let bikes, runners, 2 squirrels run but 3rd 2 much! I let lead extend & said "goodbye" & walked on. Lead only went half extended & Eddie was back beside me. What a star u r as a teacher.

Bella 24-7-22 2yr Cockapoo
Thanks for the session on Saturday Peter. We thought it was great and shame we hadn't come across you a few years ago. The session re-inforced a lot of stuff for us and Bella was brilliant off lead today staying with the pack at all times, looking and checking every 5 seconds or so. She just wouldn't let us move very far away from her, no matter how hard we tried. Recall great too!! Wasn't even interested in chasing birds! Thanks again!🙌🙌
We’ve just had a long conversation with our neighbour which we haven’t been able to do before ( usually only quick 2min chat as Bella barks at them). Eating going really well too 😃 Bella just sat and then laid down! We are stunned by that to be fair. And she has just polished all her food off for 4th time in a row after her structured walk!

Thanks a lot Peter!! It was a pleasure working with you! We’re already noticing big changes in Lucy’s behaviour. Thanks for teaching us and our dog 😊 we had a lot to learn too😀
We will be recommending your course to our friends.
Let’s keep in touch😉🙂

Flora 2-1-20 2yr Westie
Just to thank you for the walk yesterday- amazing to see Flora follow us rather than stay barking up the tree at the squirrel- felt like everything we have done together was working towards that moment 👍. We can now move forwards with Pip and Flora with more confidence and enjoy them more.

Ernie 27-3-22 1yr 1m Cocker Spaniel
Good morning Peter. I hope you’re well. Wanted to provide an Ernie update as we’ve made great progress recently and turned a corner. 1) He is now sleeping on the landing - we gradually moved in and he took to it well and didn’t get a whimper out of him. He’s been out there for a month, happy and we’re happy as it’s an enclosed area so very safe. 2) Off lead working well and recall is coming on 3) separation anxiety is less. Areas to work on are: barking when people come to the door and generally in the house and meeting other dogs particularly off the lead. Overall though he’s turning into a well behaved young 🐶!

Flora and Pip 2-11-20 2yr Westies
Just completed the course with Kim and Peter - so relieved to have met them because
life with our dogs has become so much calmer. We contacted Kim when Flora, our two year old Westie, became reactive to other dogs when on the lead and less reliable off-lead. Our older Westie, Pip was being bossed about by Flora – as were we! Her cute little ways were becoming an issue – she was demanding what she wanted from us at home and didn’t listen to us when out. We like to take our dogs with us when we go out so it was important to nip this unwanted behaviour in the bud.
There were also things at home which were an issue, like the dogs’ reactivity to foxes and squirrels in the garden. Advice given at dog training classes with Flora since she was a puppy didn’t address her unwanted behaviour – and we didn’t know what to do to make it better.
We finally got the help we needed when a friend suggested the problems were caused by how Flora perceived herself in the family – and this was confirmed by Kim. What I liked about about Kim’s approach is that she teaches owners about dog why dogs do the things they do – what motivates and drives them. We had to work on us becoming leaders and Flora becoming a follower – once this was established everything else fell into place gradually. We then felt more confident with them. The approach is very structured and it is important to do it all, all of the time. Overwhelming at first as the techniques do cover every interaction with the dogs, it now makes perfect sense. Even our teenagers prefer the calmer interactions with our dogs to the frantic greetings we used to get. Who knew that the over-excited behaviour from our dogs actually was a form of anxiety rather than happiness to see us?
Peter’s home visit demonstrates everything after the initial Zoom marathon, with training building up gradually over the weeks so that Flora and Pip came to accept that we were making the decisions from now on – they just have to follow us. After 4 weeks of lead- walking, we started on the outside training in Nonsuch with Kim. A pivotal moment for me was when Flora started frantically chasing a squirrel into the woods but amazingly decided it was better to follow us instead. All we had done was walk away from her – no treats, no calling out her name, no chasing her through the woods – she made the choice to follow us.
This was huge breakthrough for us as family.
The whole experience has been extremely interesting – Kim has dedicated her life to making dogs’ lives better by teaching owners to tune into their dog’s natural instincts. The approach means that simple rules apply to everything – no need to learn lots of different commands for each and every thing you do. It soon becomes natural to ask the dogs to “Look at Me’ before they go anywhere or get anything from us, for example. Every interaction with the dogs at home then helps them know to follow when out on walk – it all makes sense. For us it was definitely worth putting in the work with Peter and Kim – and we are very grateful for their time, patience and positivity. Our dogs are definitely happier as well.

Gus 3-6-22 9m French Bulldog
Worked well on our visitors arriving ! Although people don’t seem keen on it ?? My cousin couldn’t believe how calm he is so quickly 😊
Hi Peter, just an update after our video call last Friday I have been out walking with Gus a couple of times over the weekend and pleased to say he’s been a model with no real issues a bit of pulling but kept him in check and he was obedient when coming across other dogs.

Ziggy 6-6-22 1yr 5m Cocker Spaniel
Thanks for your advice on Ziggy’s bedtime routine Kim. Apart from a couple of 'blips' this weekend, Ziggy has been going to bed fine over the last week, so thankfully we have been getting some sleep 👍 😴 Thank you

Buddy 10-12-22 7m Mixed breed Romanian Rescue
We have just finished our foundation course with our puppy Buddy, initially as my partner and I both work full time I was concerned about the timings of the sessions, and far in advance we would have to book. Peter was extremely flexible and was able to accommodate our needs even if we had to re arrange last minute. The fact that you can do the first half from your home is great as you can get the ball rolling with improving your home structures. Peter made the online classes engaging and we are a big fan of the wooden dogs he uses to demonstrate!
Buddy has come a long way since we started and by using the techniques we have learnt we are so much more confident on our walks, knowing Buddy has built a strong bond with us and has a great recall. We can now head to the park without dreading bumping into a dog know how to handle reactive situations. Thank you!
